In Varian's hands no less? This takes place after the finally, but somehow Varian got hold of the Moonstone shard after that fight. When the Sundrop and the Moonstone fell to the Earth, the Moonstone was accidentally chipped in its fall through the atmosphere. This little chipped off piece fell into the ocean and became something entirely new: the Seastone. The Seastone lay dormant and unused at the bottom of the ocean for so many years until, eventually, it found someone to be its host: a young alchemist by the name of Varian. At the age of sixteen, held in Cassandra's fortress, Varian learns about the third divine power and soon unites with his gift. But will it help him return to the kingdom and escape his kidnapper or convince him to return to the dark once again? SEQUEL TO "ALCHEMIST OUT OF CORONA." After joining the gang in season 2, Varian returns to Corona. The recent events in the Dark Kingdom have left him exhausted, physically and mentally. But more challenges await our favorite alchemist... Will he discover why he has a strange connection to the Moon Stone? Can he manage to get through to Cass, or will his efforts only attract unwanted attention from an ancient evil that seems to have been pulling the strings all along? Similar to the first book, this one basically reads as a novelization of the third season, while adding my own changes and including Varian in every episode.

When the past comes back to Corla and Varien has no idea how to keep it away from repunzel.

Little did he know, he would be getting out of prison sooner then he thought and a new power will overtake his world. All Cassandra's life, everything has been about Rapunzel. And now she's found out that her own mother chose the princess over her! She's tired of taking a passive role and is taking her destiny as Princess of Corona by FORCE! No matter who she has to cut through to do it. Rapunzel will have to track down her former friend and stop her, or lose everything she gained since leaving the tower.

The Sundrop and Moonstone are fated to be together. When Rapunzel meets young Varian, her relationship with Eugene is put into question and Eugene finds that his "new dream" is threatened by an unlikely source!

Varian is living his normal life as Corona's royal engineer until one of his experiments goes wrong. He must find out how to deal with this problem despite a few psychotic thoughts. Even so, the Moonstone keeps tampering with him. What will he do?

This story is inspired by 'darkness exists to make light truly count' by AquaQuadrant on AO3. What if Varian was the moondrop? What if he was kidnapped by Gothel? What if Varian and Rapunzel were raised as siblings?

Just about 1 year after his fall and arrest, Varian alone in the darkness of his cell, longs for one thing. Meanwhile Cassandra's now endless power rises up, as she swears revenge on Rapunzel for what happened so long ago. Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused. Sorry this thing isn't very good, it's my first fanfic. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol.
