She had been the moment the arrow lodged into her chest but still Annabeth fell to the red ground next to her, hand on Carnelian's neck. There was a lot of blood pouring out of the hole the arrow had torn in Carnelian's chest. I... I tore my gaze away. Couldn't look. Couldn't. I looked over at Moon and Sora once more. Moon looked just as sick as I did. Sora had a wild look in her eyes, one that I had never seen before. That girl is crazy. That girl killed Carnelian.

A small icewing egg laid in the hatchery, two parents looked down at their egg, Narwhal and Tundra. in the egg a small confused dragonet started to break through, it had no idea how it how it suddenly had wings and talons, but it looked up at it's two new parents who didn't look to happy as they looked down at him. The dragonet was sure it was going to be a terrible time with it's parents.
