Jade University: a relatively easy school with only a slightest flaw: its art competitions. Every year, the NightWings and the IceWings fight each other over the trophy for fame. Until a certain IceWing falls for a NightWing they're competing against.

Winter and Moon never expected anything to happen at Jade Mountain academy. For Winter, he felt like this academy was his punishment. All he wants to do now is to intimidate everyone else. Moon wanted to make some friends, but never expected to get far, especially becoming a friend with an IceWing. But fate didn't have this in store. They soon start realizing their love for each, but do they want to really break tradition? And do they want to have a relationship when things at Jade Mountain Academy start going awry? Winter struggles with his feelings, his feelings for Qibli. Winter felt a longing for him, having to remind himself that Qibli could never like Winter- not that Winter liked him. The longing felt unbearable, so he wrote a letter, a letter to Jade mountain, a letter to Qibli. Qibli felt that Moon was to far away from his grasp, he felt that Winter was right around the corner, but never there. All he could do was wait, waiting for everything to get better. Moon is starting a new school. After moving from her small town to this big city, she doesn't know if she can handle it. Winter is alone. That might have been his decision, but it was better this way. If he wanted to work his way up his families ranks, he has to stay focused, and that doesn't include meeting a new girl filling up all his headspace. Kinkajou is trying to hide her feelings. Her parents died over ten years ago. Her method of dealing with it: stay positive. Turtle is forgotten. His mother barely even knows he exists and his sister is starting to pretend he doesn't. Until he meets an unlikely group of friends, he isn't going to come into the spotlight. Qibli has a mother who hates him. Sure, he moved out to go live with Thorn a while ago, but it still hurt that his mother wouldn't accept him. He didn't even find it funny that karma finally hit her. Well, it was a little funny.

The SandWing, Queen Thorn's advisor, humorous and selfless, intelligent and brave, witty and sarcastic... Qibli. And the brave, heroic, honorable, handsome, secretly sweet, fierce, determined, complex IceWing prince... Winter. Moon thinks she chose the wrong choice, after the War of SandWing Succession, Darkstalker's IceWing NightWing battle, and the tangling events of intense mind-controlling HiveWings, and vine-infesting Pantala, she chose the wrong love interest. She doesn't know if anyone really actually loves her, and she doesn't know if she's getting warmer... or Colder...
