It may be the fact that society on the perplexing isle revolve around the use of horses. Octavia, herself, has never been remotely interested in the equestrian field, but when she is paired up with Flash, a stubborn chestnut gelding, for her time on Jorvik, all her doubts fade away. Set aside from the horse-crazy citizens and ambitious competitions, Jorvik has been considered a rather "odd" place to settle down due to accounts of paranormal activities and magical encounters. Maybe Octavia isn't as safe as her mother believed. The dirty secrets her mother kept cooped up and hid can not be concealed for much longer.
