Cian is the adoptive son of his tribe's patriarch, and Keegan is the patriarch's son by birth. Although cousins, they were raised as brothers and see each other as such. The patriarch knows there is an imbalance between his eldest sons. As much as Keegan is protective, Cian is the proper covering. He takes more than he should, and his uncle warns him against this. Darkness is coming-one people have not seen for over a thousand years, and his uncle is afraid of the future. He knows Cian would move heaven and earth for his brother, but how much is Cian genuinely willing to sacrifice?
