Marly Divata, a Filipina cellist who just moved to New York with her family has decided to meet her neighbors. She soon acquaints herself with the Hellers, a family of tuxedo cats. With time, she befriends each of them, including the quiet Mordecai Heller. Their friendship grows as the years pass, though at one point, years later, her friend Mordecai has seemed to run away from home. Marly now travels around the states with a cello based career set in play. As she grows in popularity in the musical industry, she soon decides to settle down in St. Louis in the year 1923. She joins the Lackadaisy band as their 3rd string player, and she soon gets to know all the staff, and even some regulars of the speakeasy! Though it seems that among (among us) the staff, is a very familiar tuxedo cat. He even has the emerald eyes.

This story is a non canon ship of Mordecai X Ivy, it's not that popular in the fandom. But after seeing the pilot, I fell in love with their dynamic. For now not gonna share a lot but I'm excited to start my third book.

Since I absolutely love the Lackadaisy characters, story, timeline, etc, I've decided to try something new and write a few lovey-dovey one shots to keep myself - and the fans - entertained. Maybe I'll add some spice here and there. Some drama and grief, as well as a little bit of poetry. Perhaps an attempt of comedy.
