After that night, Rocky was never the same anymore. He can't remember much of anything and now there was a familiar face begging him to remember his promise. A promise that the tabby can't recall anymore. "Do you remember me, Mr. Rickaby? Do you remember your promise?"

Rocky has troubles sleeping during nighttime when Mordecai lefts for work. This led Rocky to recollect memories of their time together.

I wanted to get myself to write more, and have an excuse to write Mordecai Heller and Zibcai... so... enjoy.

Everyone with a soulmate can hear their partner's thoughts. But, annoyingly, that sense comes at different times for different people and different ranges for different pairs. And, much to his dismay, Mordecai has recently been hearing his soulmate in his roaring late twenties. Way later than most.
