Thirteen-year old Squires Lancelot and Gwaine dropped Merlin off at a safe place. They began their journey back to their kingdom but were attacked by bandits. Gwaine was kidnapped and Lancelot was left for dead, badly injured and unconscious. Luckily, he was taken and healed by druids. They both got word that their kingdom was taken over. Gwaine spent the next nine years wandering, believing that his friend was dead. Merlin didn't see either of them for another nine years... in Camelot. This is a "Merlin is the lost prince of another kingdom AU," but it's different from the others. Okay, I know that they all say that, but hear me out. Maybe Merlin isn't the only one from a different kingdom? Maybe... I dunno, Gwaine and Lancelot are from that same kingdom? I don't own Merlin!

AU: Merlin was captured by King Cenred and his men after seen doing magic in his village. But after weeks in captivity he flees from their prison under the cover of darkness. Injured and alone he finds himself on the docks of Camelot where he tries to hide, until he runs into a group of men in the Tavern who seem far too interested in him and who he is. It was just his luck that he managed to attract the attention of The Pendragon crew, the most ruthless pirates in all the five Kingdoms.

Young Arthur Kingsley - or rather, Pendragon - has been hearing voices inside his head since his eighteenth birthday. He wasn't much a believer in magic, unless you counted Santa until he was thirteen, but his eyes begin to open when a handsome man who goes by the name 'Merlin' approaches him. Intrigued by the stranger, and the familiar images of ruined castles and voices of angry people, he pursues the curiosity and finds himself neck-deep in what appears to be a crumbling kingdom. All was fine in Aurora when it happened. the attack. Madison and Addison were twins, the younger twin sisters to the crowned prince Merlin. The Royal family had to flee but they got separated from their father as he stayed to hold them off. The thing is Aurora is a magical kindom where Unicorns and magical creatures run free without the threat of being hunted. The kindom being a magical one, the children were born with magic, very powerful magic Will they get discovered when they have to go to Camlot out of their mother's wishes? What happens when the twins meet an old friend? Merlin gets kidnapped by an unknown person and when he returns, he's different. Gaius finds out what causes it. The Fomorroh. Arthur and Merlin go on a quest to kill the mother beast while it's tranquilized, so they can protect Camelot from Morgause and Cenred. Gwen and Morgana are also a big part of the story and I write in their perspective too. (I have put it on AO3 as well, I am currently editing out spelling/grammatical errors there, because it's easier than on this platform, plus, I love going back and forth to compare, it shows me my growth as an author)
