Amber Thomas wasn't the kind of orphan foster parents would look at twice. She was fifteen, she had depression, she cut herself, and had attempted suicide multiple times. No one even cared she existed, except for Katelyn, Conor, and Hanna, her only friends. One night at a concert, she met Joel and Luke Smallbone, from For King and Country, and Joel and his wife, Moriah, decided to foster her after hearing her story. Six weeks later, after some crazy drama to finalize the adoption, their whole world collapses with two sentences. Even when everything comes crashing down around her, Amber struggles to find God in what is happening. And then, one song that her adoptive father and uncle wrote changes everything she thought about how God helps her. And she learns that, even when life is nowhere near understandable, God has never left our side.

Rachel Moriah Smallbone had a pretty good life. She sang with her dad and Uncle Luke in For King and Country, and her cousin, Lucy, played the cello. Then, one day, she and Lucy disappeared without a trace. Lucy was found a month later, but she had no memories Then, one by one, other family members start disappearing. Can Lucy find her missing memories in time to save her family? And will her uncle, the only one who saw the kidnappers faces, come out of his coma in time? Or will this be the end of For King and Country?

Andria lost her dad at a young age. Her mom moves to Africa on missions. She will be staying with her dad's close friends, whom she has never met. Once she meets them she becomes very attached to them, and has issues trusting other people. They help her through her problems, house her ridiculously loud best friends, and constantly make her laugh. They keep her steady.

Life was as normal as it could be for Joel, Luke, and Hope Smallbone. That is, until the day that Hope disappeared.
