For me, it started as the worst summer of my life. For them, it started out as a social experiment. And though we only crossed paths for a short time, I'm grateful for the experience. It taught me to never be comfortable, and it changed our lives irretrievably, forever.

Rules. They surround my life like the shrine of bracelets I wear. Religious rules. Mothers rules. Law. I've grown used to rules tethered around my life. Being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon) I have grown up with more limits than most. Which makes going through high school... Interesting. I may have lived through Freshmen and Sophomore year, but until now, I hadn't entered the world of high school. Until I turned sixteen last July, dating wasn't allowed. Now with my junior year starting I have to deal with journalism drama, soccer stress, and the thought of, "I wonder if anyone is actually going to ask me out." Hopefully things will simmer down this year. I have my four friends and tears have yet to fall down my face for a month. Let's keep it that way.

Jude is a senior preparing for the reality he has to face when he turns eighteen. He will either have to give up his rebellious teen years, along with the person he loves, or face his family and give up the familiarity that his church, and community, has brought. He can either continue to live a lie, or finally tell everybody the truth. But it's not that cut and dry.

This collection of short stories has been described as "cleverly suspense," "thoroughly enlightening," and "thought provoking" in Amazon reviews. The stories are inspired by the culture in which I was born and raised, and in which I live today. Here in the Intermountain West, stretching from Nevada through Utah and into Idaho, is the region sociologists sometimes call the "Mormon Corridor". Interstate Fifteen now runs straight up through this area, through deserts and mountains and grasslands. All along this stretch of busy interstate are the villages, towns and cities built by Mormon Pioneers, and which are still populated largely by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I did not write these stories only for Mormons, but for anyone who enjoys learning about humanity. I hope that everyone who reads it will find it interesting and emotionally satisfying. You may look at the Amazon reviews for an idea about what readers have thought about it so far. READER'S GUIDE: There is no explicit sex, no vulgarity, and although there is death, it is not gory. I treat death with care, even reverence. I also treat my culture and its religion with respect, without heaping overt praise or criticism. I'll be adding a new story every week or two...whenever I remember to do so. The paperback is available on Amazon and most other online retailers. The ebook is available on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.

hello readers !! this is a mormon love story, or maybe it's more of a love story that has elements of mormonism. i myself am not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but i do have a deep fascination with the religion, it's people, and the culture. i will do my very best to respect the culture and the church, as i would want someone to do for my own religion. if there ever comes a point in my writing in which maybe there's something missing or i used a slang word wrong, please feel free to give me tips/suggestion on how to make the story more enjoyable for an LDS member. i hope that my story if a fun and entertaining read.
