That traumatic incident planted seeds of fear that continue to grip me to this very day. The wailing sirens of an ambulance now evoke more dread within me than the fiercest thunderstorm. My life was forever altered, forever defined by that moment. Throughout the years, the desire to write about my life, to share my story with the world, has burned within me. I carry a profound understanding of the isolation that accompanies this journey. It is my earnest wish that this book, borne from my experiences, finds its way to someone out there, someone who feels the weight of incomprehension bearing down upon them.
