A feel-good collection of short stories and oneshots about a warm but intimidating funeral director, her troubled, slightly neurotic funeral assistant/foster daughter, and all the ways they comfort and complement each other as a goofy pair of outcasts. Enjoy!

It's not the dead that bother mortuary photographer Toby Shaw. It's the living who are determined to make his life hell. This story is set in the early 80s. Anna Flores has always wanted to become a doctor ever since she was a little girl. she's been in college for a few years and she was ready to become everything she wanted but something stopped her. Her mother, Nancy Flores killed herself. She says it was because of the lose of her husband, Anna's father. While seeing her mother before the funeral she ends up speaking to the head of the Morgue. He offers her a job there if she was willing. She decides that she would take it. Will it be the worst decision she makes?
