Sam the mosquito was like any other mosquito. He drank the blood of females like any other male mosquito like he was supposed to. Everything changes in the mosquito society when Sam deviates from the social norm and drinks the blood of a human male. Will the mosquito society fall apart, and will Sam ever find that male that changed his life again?

Without hesitation, my girlfriend picked up a flip-flop and squashed it on the floor. SPLAT. Blood went everywhere. Other people's blood. She was unfazed. "Don't be a chicken," she said, mopping up the mess. Then we tucked into the hotel's free snacks -- nuts, guacamole and grasshoppers. "That's disgusting," my girlfriend said as I chowed down on the insects. "Oh, *this* is disgusting," I said, shaking my head. We're talking about a girl who will scream bloody murder if she sees a spider the size of a poppy seed. And yet mosquitos aren't scary? Not one bit? In fact, mosquitos are the deadliest creature on the planet -- what would happen, I wondered, if people actually FEARED them? What if they were ... BIGGER? Badder? More deadly? Then I stumbled across a Reddit thread that detailed a shocking scientific experiment. And, well, THE MOSQUITO was born ... PS. This is the first story I have ever written! I'd love your feedback on what you like -- and what you don't like. Heck, I don't even know how to use punctation yet! My dream is to become a full-time author, but I've never had the confidence to actually try. So, here goes! :)
