"Do you know what a 'Red Player' is? Yeah, me neither. That is, not until I became one myself."
Looking back, it's almost funny. I came into Sword Art Online with a crystal-clear strategy. As a former beta tester, I had the first few floors mapped out to the millimeter-every optimal grind spot, every quest loop, every efficiency trick to become a top player, even though my time was thought to be limited.
Well, that was back when everyone thought Sword Art Online was a normal game. But I jump ahead.
My story is neither the story of a hero, nor the story of a villain. It is simply my story. How I survived a game that was designed to be fatal and entirely unforgiving.
It is the story of someone who planned ahead using the fundamental mechanics of a game that became reality-only to find that sticking to said plan was impossible.
