The world is at peace, the combine has finally been defeated by a ragtag team of rebels led by Gordon Freeman, and everyone is starting to look move on from the past and towards the bright future ahead of them. As newer generations who didn't fight in the war for earth start growing up, so does there courage for investigating the remnants of the previous alien occupation. Fortunately no harm had come from such excursions into the unknown. However, when a certain scientists daughter investigates complaints about a haunted mine in a remote wheat field. She soon finds out that sometimes the past is best left buried and forgotten. Will she end up surviving the ghosts of the past, or will she end up making the same mistake they did almost a century ago. Either way a powerful force to be reckoned with has now been awakened and the earth will never be the same again, whether it's for the better or the worst is a decision left in her hands if she likes it or not.

My own imagining of what Thranduil's wife was like, how they came to be together, and what their life together was like. She was the sun, and he was the moon. They find perfect balance in each other. Without the moon, the sun disappears for long periods of time. Without the sun, the moon is cold, dark, and hopeless. With the moon, the sun's light can almost always reach the earth. They need each other.
