This is about my friend and her akward relationship. ❤

James was an unlikely candidate to be a grandfather. Married at 35, divorced a year later, he had given up all hope of ever being a parent, let alone a grandparent, which was fine with him because he wasn't all that interested in having kids to begin with. But ten years later, Mary Anne burst into his orderly bachelor life with her two teenage kids and before he knew it, he was a stepdad. It was the hardest thing he ever did. Fortunately, James hung in and is now the proud grandfather of two delightful grandchildren. He is besotted with them. They call him "Papa James." These stories are his gift to them - one for each year of his life in no particular order - so that, even when he is dead and gone, the memories will live on.

This is actually a true story, kinda, the people are real and the places are real and some of the events have happened. It's about my friends and I and "Our attempts at life" hence the title. You can suggest things that will happen to the characters.

The Church has never been the best place for Andrew. When he was nine he told a pastor that he was gay and the police didn't find him for a month. His family moved but Andrew is still an altar boy every Sunday. Soon he meets the boy of his dreams but the pair faces challenges in a Christian high school as well as in their own homes. Can they change their whole way of living and find refugee elsewhere? Seriously I'm not bashing Christianity this is semi based on my struggles with not being straight and growing up christian. There is a happy ending trust me.

This is the story of me, well, Rebecca. She's just an ordinary jr high student. She has crushes, friendships, and true feelings. In a way, Becca is am alternate universe version of myself. I've tried to make a relatable book that correctly explains the brutality and mysteries of a middle school life. So this is my bad grade school education. 2 1/2 years at a horrible school, and then 3 1/2 more at a new school. So sorry to my friends you *will* be insulted. This is basically my grade school years (grades K-5) from my pessimistic point of view. Also, no names will be used, so don't assume I am referring to one person in particular.
