One rain-slicked street. One shattered windshield. One mistake that changed everything. I was supposed to be at a diner with my friends, complaining about my Physics midterm and debating which TikTok filter to use. I wasn't supposed to witness a high-speed chase. I wasn't supposed to be handed a metallic briefcase by a dying man. And I definitely wasn't supposed to end up at the gates of the Blackwood Estate. Now, I'm a "guest" in a gold-leafed prison, held captive by Viktor Blackwood-the most dangerous man in the city. He's cold, morally grey, and convinced that I'm a liability he can't afford to let go. He says he's keeping me alive. I say he's stolen my life.
