The only unconditional love I've seen closest to what religions refer to as "agape" love is a MOTHER'S LOVE. Cesarean mothers go through a lot of invisible pain, even years after giving birth. May the "cut" remind cesarean-birthed children of their mother's love that overcomes bodily pains and mental strains.

There is a famous quote - "A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." by Cardinal Mermillod, a Swiss Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. Mother is the medium for communication between humans and God. Mother can take place of anyone in the world but her place can never be taken by anyone. This short essay is dedicated to all the beloved and adored mothers who had cherished their children throughout their lifetime.

Inheritance of Light is a story about love that begins where most stories end - after birth. When her ex partner's daughter was just two weeks old, she stepped into her life. No one prepared her for how fierce, complicated, and beautiful that kind of love could be. She wasn't the one who carried the child, but she became the one who stayed - through long nights, first steps, and all the quiet in-betweens. This is a story about becoming a mother in an unexpected way. About learning that family isn't made by blood, but by presence. It's about the tenderness of loving a child who wasn't yours at first, and the courage it takes to believe that love alone can be enough.
