Journey and Leo used to be best friends. Despite the fact that Leo was two years older than her. Leo was was her protector when Journey's step-father felt like using her to satisfy his own needs.  He was always there for her when she needed him. Then Leo graduated and left for college. Journey was left to fend for herself against her step-father.  Four years later the two former best friends reunite through a mutual friend. Both have grown and changed as individuals. Can Leo and Journey get back the friendship they once had?

Please enjoy! ~EditorOfEVerything~ I felt myself passing yet another pack line and hoped I was fast enough to not get caught by the patrol. I had to get as far away as possible. Might as well switch to human form for now. It's past midnight and this is a smaller pack so less patrol and I'm so close to No Man's Land. He can't touch us if we can just get- The pain all over my body intensified in human form then it did when I was with my wolf. I looked down at my stomach and gently placed my hand on top of the small, barely noticeable bump. 'I'll protect you baby. I promise. He may not want us, but I always will. You're my baby girl and I swear to make your life so much better than if we would have stayed in that pack with him.' I suddenly felt light headed and took two steps before collapsing. Too much pain. Then I felt it. The burning feeling where my mark was. And another where our pack symbol was located. He- he was rejecting me and burning off our mark! And throwing me out of the pack. My family... They didn't want me either? 'Goddess! Make the pain stop! Please!' I screamed in my head, too shocked and in such torture to speak. I felt the burning over my marks intensify and screamed out loud. It spread across my body like a wildfire and in that moment, even with the promise I just made to my precious baby... I wanted to die. 'This is it. This is how I'm going to die. In a small clearing, all alone in the dark. Rejected by my mate, my family... Yes. I accept my fate. Not everyone deserves a happy ending and I'm no exception.' I thought as my vision blurred and everything went dark.

Darkness loomed over the once cheerful and happy city of Poznan not even crickets chirped which is the least that could happen. Layers and layers of debris and gravel covered the streets which were once filled with ordinary people going to work, to school or to market. Albin knew for a fact that the invaders were advancing rapidly throughout Poland led by their leader adolf hitler who strongly and stubbornly believed that everything and every piece of land should belong to him which was the reason that Albin and her little sister Anastasia were fleeing their very own homeland.

My mom died from Lung Cancer. I thought i knew she would survive. She didn't-long story short. My world crashed in about 30 seconds with about eleven words. Meh.

Why should we love our mothers?

Ashley was just a sixteen year old girl who like any other high school girl desired popularity, fame and most essentially, BOYS. But unfortunately, she was gifted with social anxiety and suffered panic attacks very frequently. She was subjected to attending the local teaching centre situated on her street and was just a walking distance from her house. This was so, because she could not tolerate socialism or large crowds. Contrast to that, she was also claustrophobic. She detested loneliness and everything attached to being alone by oneself. Consequently, Bryan, a drop dead gorgeous boy, who has his own fair share of mental illness, relocates to Ashley's neighbourhood. With clashing personalities and beliefs, Ashley and Bryan could not be more different but their proclivity for the library brings them together. As sparks begin to fly and electricity begins to flow, they are both forced to go on a journey of self journey.

A short story that sheds light on how a dysfunctional home can cause consequences in the lives of innocents - told through one.
