Her Mother's Shadow is my very first novel, and I'm grateful to share this journey with you all. I am not a professional writer, but someone who is learning, growing, and striving to improve with every chapter I write. This novel is deeply personal to me, as it is inspired by my mother's life story and told from her perspective - her struggles, emotions, sacrifices, and the experiences that shaped her life. Through this story, I hope to bring her voice to life and connect with readers on an emotional level. I truly hope you will support my work and join me on this heartfelt journey. Your encouragement means everything to me, and I hope you enjoy reading Her Mother's Shadow.

This is absolutely my story, no plagiarism. All ideas involved is solely from me. ......................................................................... Running down the stairs in annoyance, Zina rushed up to her mother who at that moment was taking pictures "What right did you have to tell my teachers that I won't be attending the summer excursion?" Zina yelled at her mother making her flinch and the phone fell out of her hands. "What's all the yelling about? I am your mother and I said you are not going "Miss Debby said picking up her phone "What mother? Huh! Last time I checked my dad only called you here because he was going out for a meeting, you are not my mother. Ok, you are just my father's ex wife" Zina fiercely said "Well go ahead saying that sh** but medically and legally I am still your mother, and like you said your father left you in my care to go f*** with some whore somewhere; like he always does, so I have a right to tell you what to do and not do" Miss Debby said walking away "Well he might be f***ing some whores as you said, but at least they are better than you in being a mother. Oh how I so wished one of them had birth me and not you" Zina yelled at her back

Devastated by the murder of their daughter, could this couple find a way to forgive? Sometimes, life sets things in motion and forces us to see things clearly, from another person's perspective. An eye for an eye? A tooth for a tooth? A child for a child? A short story of mothers love, forgiveness and moving on. (This short story was written for an on-the-spot writing contest back when I was in college. We were given one hour to write -by hand- in 1,500 words or less a short story that had three things in it - an old woman, a tree and a cemetery. This story won the Grand Finals and was published in the Philippine Star Newspaper. It was the second short I've ever written and posting it on Wattpad is giving me the inspiration I need to write once again.
