This story takes place before the pope incident and after meeting Melty. The four cardinal hero's, including Naofumi, were summoned to the castle by the king for Malty, or Myne, has stirred up trouble.......again and the king demands why Naofumi has taken his beloved second daughter. Well......that was the plan until a portal opened and suddenly stepped out.......wait.........WHAT!?!?!?! ( This story does not follow the story after the event of meeting Melty )

Waking up in a field of flowers after getting hit and killed by a train was the last thing Himari expected. Though she soon finds out that she was summoned to a completely different world by a spell, and that there were four others like her, each of them wielding what the beings in this world call the Cardinal Weapons. And just like any other Legend out there, some pages to were missing. The world knew of The Spear Hero, The Sword Hero, the Bow Hero, and the Shield Hero. But there was one hero that had been lost to time. This is the story of that hero. This is the Legend of the Battle Axe Hero.

The Light Novel for the series The Rising of the Shield Hero follows Naofumi Iwatani, a 20 year-old university student who was whisked away to a fantasy game-like realm of monsters and magic after discovering a book about Four Heroes. ... Now the cynical Iwatani must somehow survive in a new and dangerous world that despises him.

Summoned as the Shield Hero only to be betrayed and charged with one of the worst crimes imaginable, Naofumi could only feel overwhelming despair and anger. However, that all quickly changed to unadulterated fear when he realized the truth behind why he was charged and that there was a monster after him worse than anything the Waves had to offer. Originally on Fanfiction and AO3, and now also posted on Wattpad.

Though his name has been cleared, the shield hero still finds it hard to believe that the Queen is on his side. To him, it's just another manipulation. After constantly being taunted by a mysterious voice, Naofumi begins to believe that he really is the devil of the shield. Now it's up to him to decide whether he would embrace the darkness or overcome it. Note: I don't own the characters. They are all from the anime "The Rising of the Shield Hero".

Motoyasu was ordered by no other than Malty to go against the shield 'devil' and to slay the devil himself. Motoyasu took the offer- ready to pierce Naofumi and take away his life. He made his way to a very familiar village... And he found himself struggling as he stood in front of the raven- having a perfect opportunity to kill him. First story on Wattpad lets goooooo! Honestly bored and since I have no life whatsoever I decided to do this I will try to make the characters act like how they're supposed to be. After I finish doing all the chapters for season one and considering that the second season of the anime will possibly come out in 2021 {I cri evrytim}, I'll do oneshots, lemons and be still continueing the story but follow the manga which do tend to have their differences in the anime.

WARNINGS!: Murder, attempted murder, mentions of cutting, kidnapping and strong language! . . . . Motoyasu is ordered to kill no other than Naofumi by Myne, who is hateful for how successful Naofumi is growing. Motoyasu doesn't hesitate to agree and begins his journey to assassinate the shield devil. Before long he finds Naofumi and is unable to kill him. This leads to a conflict with his feelings, and a special message to the king of Melromarc if he can't kill Naofumi. (Also being posted on AO3)
