What advice did Benton Fraser give his daughter when she went to Chicago? This work appears in my post-canon serialized Due South novel, Northern Lights, as a letter of advice that Benton Fraser writes to his daughter Elizabeth before she travels to Chicago on the trail of her best friend's killers. I am posting it as a stand-alone work for fans who may be interested but don't want to read an entire novel. Can you guess where some of this advice comes from? For the context of this letter, see chapters 6 and 10 of Northern Lights.

Two men with shattered pasts are forced to team up. They are an unlikely pair, Gabriel the bounty hunter and Asher a Mountie who both ran from their home countries finding themselves in Ottawa, Canada working under cover. Written for the Due South Seekrit Santa 2024 gift exchange. It is a tale of violence, corruption, and retribution, but it is also a story of honour and respect.

This fanfic is based upon the Hallmark Channel TV show "When Calls The Heart" and takes place at the end of S11. When Superintendent Hargraves is in town, it doesn't bode well. What is the purpose of his visit this time? That's what Elizabeth and Nathan are about to find out. Romance and family, challenges, Mountie action, Hope Valley's community life...
