DISCONTINUED! WILL BE RE-WRITTEN AND RE-PUBLISHED. So I've always been a big fan of The Nutcracker since I was a kid. So, I decided to do a retelling of my favourite rendition of it: The Nutcracker Prince from 1990. However, I decided to give it a twist, this story will not just be my retelling but also adding on a series of events like a sequel. I hope anyone who reads this enjoys it as much as I did writing it! (Another thing to note, some characters/names and their relationships/what happens to them may be different from the original source material) I do recommend trying to watch The Nutcracker Prince! It's such a charming film! Another little note: Cover artwork is by me btw.

Christmas Eve is one of the best times of the year for the Greene Family. When Maggie and Beth Greene get a Christmas gift in the form of nutcrackers from their father Hershel things don't go as planned when they go to bed. With the Mouse King Negan after the youngest Greene to make her his bride, it's up to the two nutcrackers and their friends to save the day and put an end to the Mouse King's evil plan to take over the Kingdoms of Sweets, and Snow, the Christmas Tree Forest, and the Land of Flowers. With time running out and the fight of good vs evil at hand, could Beth and Maggie defeat Negan and be with the men they love or will Negan get what he wants and rule over the Land of Flowers, Kingdoms of Sweets and Snow, and the Christmas Tree Forest?

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is a story written in 1816 by Prussian author E. T. A. Hoffmann, in which young Marie Stahlbaum's favorite Christmas toy, the Nutcracker, comes alive and, after defeating the evil Mouse King in battle, whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls. The story was originally published in Berlin in German as part of the collection Kinder-Mährchen, Children's Stories, by In der Realschulbuchhandlung. In 1892, the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreographers, Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov turned Alexandre Dumas' adaptation of the story into the ballet, The Nutcracker.

A Nutcracker retelling/sequel It has been more than a hundred years since Clara visited the Land of Dreams or Land of Sweets. Prince Felipe Dragée still loving with her for those years despite her death. Clara, dead for many years had a dying wish, that her beloved nutcracker would be passed down on the eighteenth Christmas of the eldest girl of the generation. Marie Demiel, great-granddaughter of the famous Clara, and as it was her eighteenth Christmas, in the year 1970, she would be receiving the nutcracker from her mother for Christmas, but something is wrong. Only moments after her receiving the doll, she falls into a comatose state. Marie is transported to the Land of Dreams, and quickly meets Prince Felipe, who is surprised by her resemblance to Clara. He quickly brings her to the Sugar Plum Fairy, but only for them to realize, Marie's journey back to Earth, is not just a fight of will, but would launch a war against the Mouse King, to defeat the mouse kingdom once and for all. *I know that the chapters are different/weird lengths. For now, I want to write this fanfic because I'm not the only one who wants this.) Long before Clara Stahlbaum was born, Drosselmeyer had another goddaughter from the Silberhaus family. One eerie night, when she was very little she heard the chanting of mice. That was many Christmases ago and has completely forgotten about it. Now a beautiful young lady of age 17, who pitifully grew ill and weak in her legs. How she envies her female cousins, who dance elegantly every year at their Christmas party. She yearns for a suitor who will carefully guide her weak body. This year, however, the Mouse King has his sights on her . . . A tale that resembles the classic yet with an alluring, dark twist.
