The idea for this short poem came about a month ago. I was, and still am, in an uncomfortable place. This is one of my rawer works, a demonstration of my emotions as they are.

Some time has passed since the infamous rumble, but Graziella still haven't come over it. She had no one to talk to, or so it seemed. As more time passes on, she start to release that she still has one part of Riff left whit her. Obviously most of these characters aren't mine, they belong to the 2021 west side story movie. Also English is my second language, my first is Norwegian. Not only that, I also have dyslexia, so I apologize all ready now, there will probably be typos.

Carmen is a dedicated young girl and the twin sister of Maria, always striving to keep her life in order. But one night, everything changes. As she immerses herself deeper into the Jet gang, Carmen's bond with Riff grows stronger. She's no longer an outsider, she's a trusted member, a fierce ally, and a girl who's earned her place. Riff's protectiveness only intensifies, especially as Carmen stands her ground against her brother. She's determined to stay independent and true to herself, even if it means facing storms of opposition. Through rough nights, emotional battles, and newfound strength, Carmen discovers that resilience and loyalty can forge a new family-and that sometimes, the greatest safety is found among those who fight for you.

An annoyed huff escaped her lips. "I don't know. Finding hobbies? Pursuing your dreams? Growing up?" she listed exasperatedly. Riff laughed, but this time it was void of any real amusement. Riff's little sister, Cass, was one of the so called founders of the Jets. When Riff and Tony came up with the Jets, Cass insisted on joining and they let her after some convincing. Once Tony was taken away it was just Riff and Cass and the Jets. Riff was always protective of his little sister weather it was on of the guys from the Sharks hitting on her to one of his own Jets. So when Baby John catches feelings for her he has to hide them until Cass reveals her feelings for the boy. Riff doesn't want Cass to date anyone so this causes Baby John and Cass to secretly date. Can they hide it from Riff long enough while the rest of the Jets are worried about Tony and Maria and the sharks?
