It was a rainy day in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Ava and her family have only lived there for five months. Her dad had to move thee for his job. He is a surgeon and the money was better there than back on Oregon. Ava was eager to get a job and when she landed one it did not turn out to be what she planned.

There is a new family that just moved in next door! We have a dog. And it barks a lot at night. I ignore it at first but I see shadows at night. And finally I get up to check and shhh! Someone's coming up the stairs.
