The Core Conflict: The Burden of "If Only"
The story centers on the haunting weight of regret. Their last encounter ended in a bitter, explosive argument-words were spat out in anger, doors were slammed, and before an apology could be uttered, a tragic accident claimed Joo-young's life.
Sang-gu is now trapped in a cycle of agonizing "If Onlys":
If only that fight had never happened.
If only we had held on to each other and fixed it together.
If only I had one more chance to say I'm sorry.
The Supernatural Element
As Sang-gu meticulously packs Joo-young's life into the signature Yellow Box, he realizes he isn't alone. Joo-young's spirit lingers in the silence of the room, unable to cross over while seeing Sang-gu drown in guilt. The story follows their ethereal connection-where the living tries to find closure through objects, and the dead tries to provide comfort through the wind.
"Death ends a life, but it doesn't end a relationship. Sometimes, the final move isn't about clearing a room; it's about clearing the heart."
