Living as a peculiar in a loop that reset daily, the "days" passed almost like normal to him, and he would live every reset as if it were another day, even though it was the same one. But for those who were not peculiar, they were not aware that they had been living the same day over and over again. Often it was quite a useful gift, it wasn't good for much but it helped with some awkward situations; other times it was more of a burden than anything else. Sometimes they were weak, sometimes strong; it depended on the intensity of the emotion; and in a range of colours, all meaning different things.
