This is a tale of.. what would've happened that day if Nellie didn't get burnt alive.. and if Sweeney didn't get killed as he killed many others... This book is mostly angst and fluff, but there might be a few smut scenes written (depending on how I'm feeling) inside the book.

Sweeney is upset with Nellie for lying to him, but he spares her life, unable to bring himself to harm someone so dear to him. Nellie is deeply hurt, feeling sad to have caused Sweeney such pain, and fearing that she'll never get to repair things with him. Despite all the pain though, they can't help but still care for each other just as much as they did before.
