Harriet Kapoor left Brigeton to get away. From her old, somewhat abusive, mermaid pod, from the foster homes, and from the hunters that chase her. Her plan is to survive her last few months of high school at Raleigh Hills before disappearing into the waves for the rest of the foreseeable future, but when a group of boys adopts her into their circle and they start getting dragged into her mess, she realizes it's never that easy.
