This is my Much Ado about Nothing inspired Doctor Who story. You can guess who our Benedick and Beatrice are. This is a loose adaptation of both stories and picks up in the Doctor Who universe during Season 4, Episode: Journey's End. Please keep in mind this is a 'loose adaptation' and obviously creates a canon divergent storyline.

For the well-to-do Malone cousins, reputation is everything. For the elder cousin, Clara, her reputation is staked to her swift tongue and clever mind. The younger, Ophelia, is a gentle and pure young lady born into a wealthy society, dreaming of the day when she will marry the man of her dreams. Clara is much the opposite, having sworn off love after many a failed attempt. Only when a group of familiar faces blows into town and stays under the same roof do the Malones find themselves in uncharted territory. In this retelling of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, we find the Bard's classic characters thrown into the chaotic world of the American 1920s, complete with lovable gangsters, roaring parties, and the ever-high stakes of romance and all it carries with it.

The crowd whistled its approval before gradually dispersing, and Mai sent him a lethal glare as she approached him. Zuko expected her to storm past, but instead she paused at his side, closing her eyes as her face became expressionless once more. "You always leave before it's over," she murmured. Their shoulders were almost touching. "I know you of old." And then she was gone. (Maiko Much Ado About Nothing AU. You don't need to be familiar with the play to read, but bonus points if you are. :P)

A modern retelling of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing...the ultimate rom-com. Some cupid kills with arrows, some with traps... Bee and Ben haven't always hated each other, but they certainly hate each other now. They hate each other so much that it threatens to derail the wedding of their best friends, Imogen and Will. But then something unthinkable happens and turns everything on its head. Within the wedding party, some hearts swell and others are broken, but will anyone work out that relationships are rarely quite what they seem? This modern retelling of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing explores the idea of whether we're ever really in control of our own romantic destiny and if true love really can conquer all.

Based upon William Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing', Kill Claudio is an experimental piece in two parts (a story and a poem) that focuses on the harrowing themes of hate, love and heartbreak hidden within the folds of comedy in the original play. It offers female perspective while remaining true to the themes it investigates.
