A baby? On a battlefield? Marcus is a clerk in the Imperial army. When he finds an abandoned baby on a battlefield, he has no idea what to do with her. His best friend is no help; he thinks Marcus is a sucker for taking the kid in. The slave who ends up babysitting the child is no better; she thinks Marcus has ulterior motives - bad ones. Not only that, but two mysterious female assassins appear on the scene. Whether they intend to harm the baby or protect her, Marcus isn't sure. It doesn't help that the assassins have magical cloaks that allow them to turn into birds at any time. Marcus and his friends soon find themselves caught up in things they doesn't understand: the child has some connection to an ancient prophecy, one that could have implications for fate of the Empire itself.

Brock Hammond comes from a very wealthy family in a long line of businessmen in advertising. He, however, has never had the interest to become CEO of the family business. He loves the freedom and women in the life he lives too much. Now his father is threatening to disown him and cut him from the family wealth if he doesn't comply. Brock has to get away for awhile to think things over since the deadline is fast approaching. On his journey he is unfortunately involved in a car accident in the country and is taken to a local county hospital for treatment. Jenna Owens is an RN at Sacred Heart Memorial and loves her job with all her heart but wishes that she had someone to share her life with. Her dog Lilah is her companion and she chooses to avoid the bar scene and just stay at home where she is most comfortable. Jenna has never had the greatest of self esteem and has only had a couple of boyfriends in her life. When Brock is rushed into the emergency room already slipped into a coma and is unresponsive. However, visions of a beautiful angel appears to him in his dreams. Will he fall in love with this mystery angel or will she fall in love with her patient while treating him?

I wrote all of these poems (except one, which I'll say in the A/N of it's own) in my Short Stories and Creative Writing class. (2011-2012, first semester. Yes, I was a freshman when I wrote these poems.) If your school has this class, and you haven't taken it, I would suggest you do so, it's a great class. I'm sure that my writing would have been a lot better if I would've taken it my senior year, instead of just last year. It was a great class anyway. :)

Another short story but this one is with boys instead of girls. This was hard for me because I'm not a boy so I don't know ho or what a boy would react in this situation, hope you like it though!
