Princess Virosa's talons thumped, clutching a small soft fuzzy egg close to her chest as she ran. We have to get somewhere safe- "My princess!" she turned her head to look as a murky brown colored sporewing ran beside her. "yes Mycelium?" Mycelium's face was drawn with worry, he flexed his wings. "The queen is dead... Virosa almost stopped in her tracks, her wings lowering. "N-No-" then her eyes landed on what was in his talons. Her...crown... Tears rolled down Virosa's cheeks. She slowed to a stop. Princess Virosa was the only daughter of Queen Shitake. Mycelium slowly placed the crown upon Princess- no Queen Virosa's head. Mycelium, previously her advisor and teacher, bowed before her. "My Queen..." Virosa raised her head, then flared her wings. The time has come...for me to take charge.
