Michael is the boss of a mob family in the 1970s and Luke is a recent made man that started as a highly skilled bank robber. Michael just so happens to take an interest in him, and it all spirals from there.

Luke and Michael had always been best friends, but after Luke's 18th birthday, they discover something more. When they confess how they really feel about each other, the two boys think that they can finally tell each other everything. However, there is one thing that Michael doesn't know about Luke: what causes him to wake up in the middle of the night, gasping for breath. At first, Michael thinks he's just having bad dreams, but as it turns out, it's much more than that. Luke's traumatic past may have caught up with him, causing his self consciousness and anxiety to return. If Michael doesn't figure out what's wrong, he may not be able to save Luke...from himself. Michael had been bullying me ever since year 7 and I always stand there and take it, or lie there as Michael did get physical with me at times. To be quite honest I'm not sure why I've never fought back. I guess it's just not who I am. I can't say it isn't in my blood seeing as Ben and Jack had no problem standing up for themselves, and me a couple times, while they were still in school. Now, I'm no masochist. I don't like getting abused everyday and I most definitely am not in love with Michael Clifford.
