One wrong fashion move can spark the battle between good and evil, between right and wrong, between man and mullet. But who can win this battle? Can one coexist without the other? Do we put too much hate into things we don't understand? "My First Mullet" explores the impending madness of a man who simply wants a haircut, but walks away with something far worse. The story is told in many parts, with a large chunk of it told in poetry. It's also not to be taken too seriously. Basically, it's perfect for anyone who appreciates poetry, as well as for anyone who hates it or doesn't understand it.

She was listening to the radio when she stumbles upon one of her old best friend's song. She falls in love with it immediately. Remington Duke has had an amazing start to his career. College away from home means new possibilities, newfound freedom. Right? Apparently not. At least not with his new roommate in the equation. How is he supposed to get anything done when there's someone with a foot halfway up his ass screaming about a bedtime, or a piece of paper on the ground, or well, everything! Izuku was ready to switch out by the first week. But, there was something about him, something about the way his deep red eyes glistened with possibility. Something about how the other was so different from himself, that Izuku could help but want to learn more. OR: Izuku's home life was previously very easy going, his mom let him do just about anything as long as he kept his room clean, and his grades stayed up. So when he was thrust into a new, fast paced lifestyle; with a Egotistical roommate breathing down his neck. He wasn't sure he could make it through the year. But through a series of chance encounters, Izuku was starting to realize that maybe getting out of his comfort zone wasn't all that bad. Maybe he'll learn something about himself in the end, and fall in love a little too. Maybe he should have just lived with his mom. OR: Izuku's new roommate is an asshole. Mullets. Precisely why they exist, I suspect we'll never know. But, nevertheless, exist they do. There are bad mullets and there are...well, less bad mullets and there are mullets whose very being make one question the fundamental tenets of reality. While the 80s gave us many fine things, I would argue the mullet is not among them. And yet, it would appear the mullet is resurgent. From the schoolyard to the sporting field, fine fellows featuring flowing locks flaunt their fashion-free flair in growing numbers, while the command "Short up front and leave the back alone" once again rings out in barbershops and hairdressers across the globe. This is weird. Very weird. Perhaps a review of some of history's...um, finest(?) mullets may shed some light on this mystery. Perhaps not. Let us see.
