There was once a time in our milky way that every planet wondered if they were alone in the expansion of space, and there was a time where their question was answered. It happen the same to every planet. The sun vanished behind fleets of ships, stark black and ominous against the cloudless skies. Caught completely unaware and unprepared for the life altering encounter of an alien race invading their homes. No one could touch them, what riots did happen were quelled quickly by the shapeless twisting shadows that watched them, with the perpetrators vanishing never to be heard from again.
