Based on a true story. A novel about the first person to step into these doors, the man who loved her, and the woman who protected her. The Saint Anthony House was supposed to be a bed and breakfast. It turned into a refuge stitched together by one woman's stubborn belief that broken things can be mended. Through the intertwined perspectives of Grazia, a young woman clawing her way back to herself; Anatoly, the man who has loved her since before either of them knew what love meant; and Caterina, the fierce, tender founder who shelters them both, this story becomes a love letter to the quiet sanctuaries that change us. As Grazia recovers within its walls, Anatoly stumbles into the House as a temporary worker and finds himself drawn into its strange gravity...and back toward the girl he's never stopped caring for. Under Caterina's watchful, maternal presence, the two of them rediscover each other in the soft light of the place. The Saint Anthony House is a story about second chances, chosen family, and the way a single place can hold the weight of three lives until they're strong enough to hold themselves.

The book will consist of a series of short stories. The stories will be fast, so no more than 200 words, 300 max. I will try to keep it varied and cover a variety of genres, but I'm not sure how much will be fantasy... probably a lot now that I think about it. The primary focus of this will be a sandbox of sorts. Various ideas will be given flesh; allowed to walk with their thin suits, in hopes of one day making it into full text. I.e a book. So, take the stories you see in here with a grain of salt. The style of the writing and the general feel may change from story to story. I'm just trying to find my voice. So please. If you can, come by and give it a minute or two. Any criticism or ideas you have will be much appreciated.

If you've watched the anime Selection Project, then this is a darker (edgier) rewrite of that with some similar characters and also some original characters. If you haven't, then the story is about a group of 9 girls that come together to compete in an idol reality TV show over several rounds, and the winner will get to become a real idol. In the original story, the characters are threatened with elimination, but it never really happens and they all get to win together. However, in this version of the story, elimination cannot be avoided, and the girls all have their own emotional hang-ups that bring them into conflict with one another as they compete to make their dreams come true. This is the first story I ever wrote and completed, so it might be pretty rough around the edges, but I thought I might as well throw it out there. Because you are chosen - not entirely out of luck - I offer you a choice: do nothing and watch as you and the world perish. Or, do something and attempt to save the world. You want more choices? But there are no other choices... at least, for now. You can still try... just show me what the human soul can do. With that, I woke up to the beginning of the end.
