No one knew for sure if it's Rapunzel's fault because it was her who had the idea, or Hiccup's because his terible terror started the complication of overheating Elsa's cold, almost lifeless heart, or Merida's because she didn't do anything (more like she didn't care), or Jack's because he failed at his attempt to reverse Hiccup's overheating and overcooled Elsa's heart instead which technically killed her.
