After the tragic house fire that killed her brother and parents Catherine moves with her little sister to the quiet village of Middleton to live with her grandmother. Catherine is an outsider and struggles to make friends. The villagers all hold secrets and Catherine begins to realise the idilic village is not as perfect as it appears at a first glance. There is more to a person than what meets the eye.
