A fan-fiction sequal based on the novel Heaven Official's Blessing by Mò Xiāng Tóngxiù. ‼️Book 5 Spoilers‼️ - Please read the whole novel before indulging in this fan fiction as it will contain many spoilers! Around 500 years have passed. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng have not yet been introduced to the modern world due to Xie Lian's cultivation experimentation. They finally get to walk out into the new world around them, only to be met with the delayed aftermath of Jun Wu's defeat.

Fu Yao exceeded that limit, and Nan Feng had to pay the price.

This children's fairy tale was often read to Mu Qing as a small child. Let Mu Qing hear this story to his children as well. On that day, Xie Lian and his two friends read this story in Hua Cheng Library, as Xie Lian was fascinated and wanted to refresh some old memories. Mu Qing was too tired to listen to Xie Lian as he fell asleep on one of the stacks of books in the Hua Cheng Collection. When he awoke again he found himself in a place he had never been before, in a blue dress.

Xie Lian, the crown prince of Xianle, the one who pleased the gods, the one who everyone adores came in contact with an unknown artefact that granted him the knowledge of a novel of which he is a character in. This led to him realising that he is a background character in the so-called novel [A lifetime of hardships to get to you]. A novel that revolves around his two best friends- Mu Qing and Feng Xin as they face the downfall of the kingdom they grew up in, ascend to the heavenly realm and realise their feelings for one another after facing life and death situations. He is truly happy for his friends, but what makes him panic is his own fate! In the novel, he is just a stepping stone for the two protagonists. For them to ascend and share a past with sappy memories and common goals. He is nothing but a banished god who will live his life in misery only to be reunited with his two friends centuries later and be taken in as their worker! How cruel of the novel to make him a disposable character that has no meaning but to reignite complicated feelings between the protagonists just for some climatic plot point! Plus, he absolutely cannot let Xianle fall! He has to save everyone! Only if the novel did not have so many plot holes! Like it was never even properly explained how the mighty kingdom of Xianle fell? Or why the main villain Hua Cheng, who is so powerful that he defeated 33 heavenly officials(how cool!), has such deep hatred for the two protagonists? Or even what his life was like after he got banished, hell, the novel did not even bother mentioning why he was banished?!? Also, how come the main villain is so friendly with him???

For thousands of years, many people whether in cultivation or not would pray to the gods for all kinds of help. Some would pray just to have something to believe in. others for wealth, fame, love, or protection. The gods In heaven would answer to these prayers, though in some cases they may not be answered as quickly as people would hope. Times change and so do people. The beliefs of the gods still hold strong, but nowadays many pray for mostly protection as ghouls, zombies, and fierce spirits continue to roam in the mortal realm. The hard work now falls into the hands of cultivators and their sects. Now offerings are given to gods for protection more than anything. However, in a single night many temples and shrines have come to burn to the ground and left behind would be dark flames of resentful energy. This evil being is corrupted with hatred and has reached devastation like levels. Maybe even beyond that. With their strengths lowering, the gods must seek help from the Yiling Patriarch and his companions. One shot, set after Book 5, almost Mid-Autumn festival in TGCF land. Xie Lian's friends come to visit him at Puqi Shrine, Hua Cheng and Xie Lian have a playful duel for entertainment, ending in a wonderful competition (very brief, all PG, of course) and later *cough* exchange of spiritual energy away from prying eyes... how does this all come to be? Something like this... PS: I read that MXTX said Mount Taicang was special for HuaLian *cough* so if Hua Cheng had to take Xie Lian away for fun, that's where it would be ☺ ************************************************************************* No copyright infringement intended, all characters belong to the creator of the series.

It should be a perfectly normal evening. It was to be an evening like any other where Mu Qing returned to his palace to answer the prayers. Instead, he is called to a meeting. When he appeared there he was surprised with an unimaginable surprise. Not in a positive sense.

Royal AU in which Mu Qing is a prince. Feng Xin, a soldier and the king's closest advisor, notices Mu Qing, the prince. The prince is prideful, sarcastic and dismissive. Feng Xin loathes him and his arrogance, fueling countless arguments between the two. Slowly but surely, Feng Xin begins to notice the flaws in the palace. Little cracks to buried mines of secrets. He refuses to believe it, holding strong to his beliefs and dislike for the prince. Until.
