Murdoc Niccals recounts his life story through a first-person perspective of his past. A coverage of Murdoc's childhood (both canon and fanon), early adulthood, and recent years, detailing his vanity, superiority complex, and inner conflict. "You were born an original. Don't die a copy." Chapter updates every Thursday. DISCLAIMER: This story is fanmade. Some events are cannon and others were made by the other in order to add more depth and color to the story. It's not a ship with anyone in any way. There's no smut, only implied and/or aggressive scenes. Murdoc is an unreliable narrator and will paint himself in a more flattering light if it so pleases him (told in first person). There will be slight jumps in age. AGAIN: not all of these events are canon, and the characters are owned by Gorillaz. This story covers Murdoc's earliest moments up to 2026.

Set in 1983, Murdoc needs an excuse to not be home, the neighbours down the street needing a babysitter is an easy way to achieve this and all he has to do is watch a 5y/o for a couple hours. What could go wrong? (I'm attempting to make it accurate to the time, but minimal effort is done to figure out timepieces, such as telephones and so forth) Mild warning for mentions of abuse, cigarettes, alcohol and drug usage in later chapters NOT 2Doc, 2D is literally 5 at the start of this. The year is 2000, and zombie invasions have almost wiped out many countries. The members of Gorillaz are living in London, one of the worst affected cities in the world. They've been able to get by- they live in the highest apartment in a block of flats, somewhat getting by each day. All they can do is play music in their band, and raid abandoned shops for food and other stuff. They have been extremely lucky- it's been over 3 months, and they've been able to survive the ending of humanity long unlike millions of others. Yet they know deep down they must find a way out of England, and when they find an abandoned young girl, they know they must escape. (Sorry it isn't as serious as this I promise, sure it'll be dark but comical too just read and find out lolz)
