Musafir Cinta adalah kisah tentang seorang pemuda yang meninggalkan rumah pada usia dua puluh tahun untuk mencari hakikat cinta yang sesungguhnya. Dari para ulama ia belajar tentang keikhlasan, dari para petani tentang kesabaran, dari para guru tentang makna mendidik, dari anak-anak tentang ketulusan, dan dari adat Minangkabau ia memahami indahnya harmoni antara agama dan budaya. Setiap pertemuan menjadi pelajaran, dan setiap perpisahan meninggalkan makna yang semakin mendewasakan jiwanya. Selama dua puluh tahun berkelana, Musafir menyaksikan berbagai kisah tentang kemanusiaan, pengorbanan, kehilangan, harapan, dan cinta. Perlahan ia menyadari bahwa cinta bukan sekadar memiliki atau mempertahankan seseorang, melainkan perjalanan panjang yang menuntun seorang hamba untuk semakin dekat kepada Allah, Sang Pemilik segala cinta. Ketika usianya menginjak empat puluh tahun, ia kembali ke rumah dan membuka kembali buku-buku catatan perjalanannya di depan komputer tua yang telah menemaninya sejak muda. Dari lembar demi lembar itulah lahir sebuah kisah tentang pencarian makna hidup, cinta, dan penghambaan. Musafir Cinta bukan sekadar novel perjalanan, melainkan undangan bagi setiap pembaca untuk bertanya kepada dirinya sendiri: ke manakah cinta akan membawa kita-kepada dunia, atau kepada Allah?
