Alberto has a rare genetic disease and a supportive family, school and community. When new kid Bea transfers into his school with a positive attitude and whimsical curiosity, Alberto has to face his own grief and ableism though the trials of friendship. This is a story about disability and sarcasm and a world where you never really feel like you belong. WARNING: This story uses harmful words/terms for people with disabilities. My characters will be insensitive and cruel. They are teenagers and are still learning. This is a story about how we are all still learning, and should always keep learning, keep moving forward, keep swimming.

Almost two decades after losing my brother through a horrendous disease, I've finally been able to process it. Here, I talk about memories of Marc, the initial struggles I faced both personally and what I saw my family go through, and how I've finally been able to open up about it. There are many things I took for granted during my short time with my only brother, moments that still hurt me now and I wish I could change. In the years since, I have at times, uses it as a crutch, an excuse for not reaching my potential. I'm certainly not over losing somebody so close to me, but I've reached a point of comfortability, a stage where I can talk about him. The same can't be said about other family members. This book has helped me massively, which has been my own selfish priority. But perhaps it can help you.

Annabelle has spent her whole life in a wheelchair due to a muscular disease. Being only seventeen, she hasn't really started her life yet and won't have much life left. She wants to be a nurse who helps children with the same medical condition that she has. She has her foot in the door slightly because her mother works in the finance office of St. John's Hospital in LA. She goes with her mother on weekends and summers to work in the hospital with her, but most of the time, she is talking with the nurses on the pediatric floor, hoping one day to be in their shoes. But there's something stopping her from perusing her dream: her illness and people telling her that she will never have a normal life. The above story catches the attention of a certain star who visits the hospital as to boost moral for the younger patients on the pediatric floor and to run a charity. Annabelle is ecstatic to meet her star crush Elvis Presley, a young man of twenty-one. Elvis is touched by her story and encourages her to be what she wants to be, regardless of what people say. That's how he got to where he is. He guiltily wants to go to the hospital just to talk with her and be close to her. He's drawn to her, this pretty girl who can't walk. And... he starts falling for her. Fast.

It's incomplete, imperfect and are truly broken from within . ~ High school 💯 High school has it's different definition according to people.
