Because, you know, chaotic kart racing, smashing, princess kidnapping... Y'know, usual stuff in the Mario universe. However, you will now delve deeper into this wonderful land, to see what happens behind our gaming system's screen!! What do Mario and Luigi do when nothing exciting happens? What does Peach do when she's not held captive somewhere? What does Bowser do when he doesn't feel evil? Answer to that and more in... A Day In The Mushroom Kingdom! This is a piece I created years ago. I tried to make a SSBB series centered around it, but it never worked out properly, so I'm bringing it to life this way :D Despite the name of the series, book one mostly follows Luigi and his efforts to protect the Mushroom Kingdom against Wario and Bowser, with their newfound power given to them by Ganondorf, during their assault, while Mario is on the front lines. Whilst this happens, Toad is escorting the twin sons of Link and Zelda to safety outside Hyrule and the Mushroom Kingdom. And that's where the story really begins.

You are Peach's youngest sister, but only to be adopted in her home. Peach will be away on vacation and need you to look after the Mushroom Kingdom while she's gone. As the youngest, you have no idea what it's like to run the kingdom, but that was when Bowser moved to capture the WRONG princess. You are his prisoner, but he won't do you too badly. He wants his little Koopalings to have another parent to care for them since they never had a mother. A Koopaling needs a mother; maybe being his prisoner won't be too bad.

Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Yoshi find themselves on peculiar islands. They want to get back to the Mushroom Kingdom. However, it's harder than they though it would be. They face issues and darkness, as well as jolly and silly moments. When they reach their goal, they think it's all over. But it's not. Things start to shift and it all ends bad. When you think there's some hope, something major is revealed and you realise maybe nobody's life has meaning. Update: I'm enhancing 'Blods with Blue Beds, Toads with Blue Heads'.
