Hiro Hamada is finishing his final year at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology (SFIT) after a long year of fighting against villains, helping Aunt Cass with the cafe, and aggravating stacks of assignments that he always finished last minute. He soon realized that his major required a certain amount of volunteer hours at their sister school, San Fransokyo Institute for the Arts (SFIA), to graduate in the spring as planned. He never read the fine print of things like these, but soon his school finds out and assigns him to volunteer during SFIA's rehearsals. During one of these random rehearsals, he meets Miguel Rivera, an aspiring musician from Mexico who's studying at SFIA. At first, Hiro wasn't a big fan of the arts, or in general anything that wasn't science or robotics. But the two of them attempt to talk to see if he enjoys music at least. It might be that they become friends, understand each other, and hopefully go beyond that line of friendship? Or just become straight-up enemies due to Hiro not wanting to spend his time there, and rather be at his lab or alone in his room at home.
