In the summer of 2011, cities in Britain were ravaged by riots, fire and looting. I was talking to people via Facebook and the idea of a story was kindled. With their suggestions, and because I don't take much encouragement when I have an idea I love, this story grew and was written using the following criteria: It had to feature dragons and cake and these people either asked to feature in it, or were used because they'd come up in one of those Facebook status update game memes - mine was that I was a superhero. It helps if you understand British culture in terms of the puns, but hey, it's just a bit of fun. Also, the very occasional bit of dialogue has been borrowed from...elsewhere.
