Dear reader, welcome to my world. My name is Salisu Khadija Alkali, and though I am quiet and calm, my life has been anything but ordinary. The house I grew up in was never silent. With fifteen voices echoing through its walls - my dad, Alhaji Salisu Alkali; my mom, Hajiya Aisha Alkali; my stepmom, Hauwa Alkali; and twelve children - silence was a luxury I rarely knew. Yet in the middle of all that noise, I remained the observer, the second child who carried responsibility while dreaming of something greater. I am a dietician, passionate about nourishing lives. I am a fashion designer, running shops that celebrate culture and elegance. And I am the proud founder of SAH Foundation, an organisation dedicated to helping women find strength and hope. My family is proud of me, but they still whisper about one thing: my refusal to chase love or romance. My mom is always reminding me about suitors, but she already knows my answer. My focus is not on romantic affairs - it is on building myself, my career, and my purpose. This is My Life - a journey from the crowded halls of my family home to the throne of resilience, elegance, and truth. This is My Life - the story of a young woman who rose from a crowded household to become a queen in her own right. A woman of lace and Ankara, of wisdom and strength, determined to inspire others with her work, her voice, and her heart. ✨ "Step into my world of resilience, elegance, and truth - the journey begins here." ✨ "Behind every jewel and every silence lies a story worth hearing... are you ready?" ✨ "This is not just my life, it's a legacy in the making - follow along and be inspired." ✨ "From lace to legacy, from suitors to success - come walk with me through My Life."

"Can music truly build a bridge between entirely different worlds?" Finn lives in a world of bright lights and roaring crowds as a rising star in the Thai music scene, yet he shields himself with a cold and distant aura. On the other end of the spectrum is Ray, a cheerful and free-spirited art student whose positive energy knows no bounds. Their worlds are completely turned upside down when Ray's new stepsister, Reem, enters the family-a quiet Muslim girl carrying a rich, different culture. Her arrival challenges everything they thought they knew about family, identity, and love. Between the chords of music, cultural differences, and Reem's mischievous matchmaking, will this newfound warmth melt the ice between Ray and Finn... or will the walls between them prove too thick to break?

Meet Aysha Farouk Muhammad, your shy introverted girly, with a firm attitude and sharp mouth of course when need be. A sensitive calm soul and like any other teenage girl, someone a bit emotionally all over the place. Aysha together with her family had lived in the U.A.E for eight years before having to move back to Nigeria when things took a rocky turn for her parents financially. Growing up in such a different and much more advanced societal setting, Aysha is what you could say, definitely nothing like your typical conservative arewa Nigerian Muslim girl; a girl with a mind of her own and will to live life freely on her own terms. The perfect demonstration of the saying don't judge a book by it's cover, as she is someone that easily comes off as cold and intimidating due to her quiet nature, often misjudged by people till you come to actually know her for the really sweet shy soul she is. On the other hand is Hammad Faisal Hamoud, school's class topper, team's lead basketball player and prefect. At best an impossible eye catcher to miss in any scenerio is this insanely stunning half-Nigerian, half-Egyptian eye candy. The cherry at the top is his personality; funny, sweet, smart, cheerful, assertive, compassionate and caring. When these two meet they somehow instantly click, and eventually several years consequentially transforms mere friendship into a deep bond of intense affection, care, and an undeniable chemistry between the two. But when all comes crashing down in this seemingly perfect paradise, it all comes down to the fact that love itself can never really be enough. Some say if it's meant to be it will be while others say if you love someone you fight for them at all cost. With a few brutal truths thrown in here and there, misunderstandings seep in, mistakes are made and a lot of learnt. ~~~ A brutally honest story about love, heartbreak, situationships, trauma, healing, growth, and an undeniable pull of second chances.

"A girl should be graceful, intelligent, and confident", proclaimed Oni, as she began her class presentation, standing tall and proud of the work she had done. Oni chose to present her idea of what it takes to be a good leader as a woman. She personified the very characteristics she spoke about, though she had her shy moments. "As with any leader, a woman in leadership must work hard and get to know the people she will lead." The trials and triumphs of young girls can be both difficult and amazing. The girls in the town of Tinselee face highs and lows of life, all while learning from each situation. Life as a pre-teen and teenage girl is a myriad of experiences that include issues with self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth, but include cherished moments like gaining friends, achieving goals, and learning more about self. Many times, young girls feel alone or as if no one understands what they are going through. "Femme United" explores the world of a group of girls who, in a variety of ways, overcome life's hurdles and are drawn to a spiritual path where they learn more about themselves and each other. As a young girl, there were times when I felt that there was no one I could express certain things to, so, in turn, I just kept them all to myself. In this novel, I tap into my experiences as a pre-teen and teenage girl as a way to show that no matter what you may face, there is someone who's going through the same thing. I want young girls to never feel as though no one understands or has experienced what they may be confronted with. This novel was also composed to show that though there may be challenging situations you'll face, it's very important to celebrate good times and to continue to build yourself and learn from everything you encounter. Some obstacles will test your spirituality, but holding tight to it will help you get through anything that may come your way. Remember, we all face challenges, but what matters most is what you learn from them.
