However, when he heard his family talking about him horribly behind his back, it was the last straw, and Mikey ran away from his family, vowing never to return. It wasn't long before he was kidnapped by a strange alien from another universe. Five months later, the Hamato family finds Mikey in his new brain-washed form, Midnight They realise that not only do they have to save him, but also to make sure Virus doesn't use Mikey for world conquest. In an effort to bait the turtles and Splinter, Shredder takes Karai hostage and threats to mutate her, while he wishes to mutate the turtles into snakes but something else takes place instead. These challenges are only the beginning for turtles.

One being, an official Herculean Tournament is to be implemented in each country. A tournament that determines who is the strongest and most powerful amongst a peer group.
