Being alone is hard, and well, lonely. There's a difference between being alone in your room while your family is right outside your door and down the hall, and when the only family that you have is somewhere out, possibly dead. I try not to think like that, I really do. The key word is 'try'. Over the years I have grown accustomed to thinking only the worst. I was never a really optimistic person. How are you supposed to be prepared for the danger or heartbreak that you might have to go through if you're too busy thinking that the world is all unicorns peeing rainbows? I've had to grow up fast in this world, and this is what the world made me. You learn to block out any and all emotions. They only stand in your way. Not even anger can be trusted. Learning to keep a poker face for over three years is an accomplishment I would have to say. I feel nothing at all anymore. Not when I steal something, not when I blow something up, and most certainly when a kill a Labcoat. I have no guilt. I have no remorse. I spare no mercy. "To love and be loved is like feeling the sun from both sides" David Viscott

Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges. Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain. Testimonials: "Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!" - Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader "This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise." -IridescentLies, Wattpad Reader http://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com

"What can I do?" Harry asked, my hand still in his. "N-nothing really." I stumbled as he brought my wrist to his lips. His kisses were sweet and gentle as he worked his way from my wrist to just below my elbow. I saw Harry smirk before I closed my eyes. He let go of my wrist and I shivered as he brushed my sides gently. I was uncontrollably drawn to him, I couldn't help but sigh as I felt the familiar plump lips on my neck. My eyes remained closed as I was tugged to his hard chest and I was forced to rest my hands against the swirls of ink. I felt strong arms wrap around my waist and his hands began to roam my lower back. I could barely focus on anything else as lips sucked and nibbled just under my jaw. The crashing waves were gone, the birds had stopped, and all I could hear was Harry's irregular breathing next to my own. I felt my heart pound furiously in my chest and wondered if his did the same. I trembled in his arms as he continued the assault on my neck. I could feel my skin was flush from the attention it received. He cradled me and began to explore my backside; it wasn't long before his fingers skimmed my right hip and I flinched. Harry slowly began to lift the bottom of the tank top up and I immediately pushed his hand away. It took everything in me to step back from Harry's secure hold. His lips, his scent, his physique, it was all so tempting. I can't do this though... Panic struck through me as I thought of Jake and what his face would look like if he found out what I just let Harry do to me. Harry watched as I nervously ran a hand through my hair that trailed down to my shoulders. His eyes stared at my neck and I lifted my hand to it to feel the tender skin. "This can't happen." I said as Harry smiled wickedly. "We should get back." They start in a group but The Island picks them off one by one. Things aren't as they seem and no one knows who to trust. It soon becomes clear who will survive versus those who are too weak to face The Island.

60,000 people used to live here, now it's a cursed town. They were born, raised and died here. Now, we begin our journey to learn the secrets of this town. Let's see if we can make it out alive. Emily Wolf is a 17-year-old high school student who lives a normal and healthy lifestyle. She attends school on time every day, maintains good grades, and is well-liked by her peers, though not by her parents. But will Emily be able to maintain her usual life? Tripp Cruz, on the other hand, is a 29-year-old military man who does not lead a normal lifestyle and certainly does not prioritize his health. He was conscripted into the military at a young age and has remained there for years. His father, Roman Cruz, pressured him into joining, saying, "Son, your grandfather and I served in the military; you must too." Can Tripp find a way to reconnect with his emotions? Emily and Tripp meet during a military drill at her high school. "Line up," Tripp commands coldly to the students, while the other military personnel stand at attention like statues. "One of you will be chosen to report to the military," Tripp announces, causing shock among the students. He fixes his gaze on Emily as if assessing her closely. She blushes under his scrutiny. Tripp approaches her, his footsteps slow yet intense. "What's your name, girl?" he asks, looking down at her. "Emily Wolf, sir," she replies, her cheeks still flushed.

(This is the book 2 of POE chronicles - please check out book 1 Evolution first ) Evolution had created us. Allowed us to be different, given us a chance to survive outside the walls of Citybases. But evolution had also made them. They might not be as intelligent as we are, but nature is on their side this time around. This is a game of survival; a game to see who adapt faster and grow stronger. You have no idea who your enemies are or what to believe. All you can do is try your best to stay alive. Nature only favours those with the right adaptation, ruthlessly eliminating the rest. Nature will make you. It will also break you. Only the fittest survive. Amazing cover by @MulanJiang Now available on Kindle or as paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6ZLXHQ

(This is book 3 of the P.O.E. Chronicles, Read book 1 Evolution and book 2 Selection if you haven't already) I never wanted a war. All I wanted to do was to get things back to the way they were and to keep those I love safe. But it turns out that everything was just an illusion, that the reality I lived in was all but a lie. That world was no place to live, and in order to make a better future, a future that so many have sacrificed so much to try and archive before me, I had to fight. And to do that I needed to find out the truth, no matter what horrors lie beneath it. The web of lies, of secrecy, of betrayal, is spun so far, so fine, so wide that I had been seeing only a corner of it. I didn't know if I have the strength to go on, but I know that if I don't step up, the world as we have known it will end. If you asked her four years ago what she imagined herself doing in the future, Abigail Beckett could safely tell you that it doesn't involve political meetings, living in an ancient castle and seeking advice from a three hundred years old Original. Having discovered her roots, she had inherited the responsibility to make sure the world doesn't end by the terrorist group Apocalypse and make peace among POE and Legres. With the fate of many of her friends still uncertain, she must race against time to uncover the Apocalypse's plan, pacify the government, and tried not to get killed by her grandmother.
