Remus's and Sirius's entire relationship from their 5th year till Harry's 3rd. Remus is studios and reserved and has never so much as looked in the direction of any of the girls at Hogwarts. Sirius is clever and mischievous and flirts with out really noticing he's doing it. Fast Forward: Remus is heartbroken and lonely and back in the paradise of his childhood. Sirius is vengeful and determined and has his priority's all warped.

However, as term ends and the summer holidays begin, Sirius realises that the war may be closer than he ever imagined and begins to discover that some differences just run too deep. What if Sirius had been the one with Harry that night at Godric's Hollow, and if he'd died instead of Lily and James? This story follows what James would be like if Sirius had died, a life where Harry would know and love Sirius as his godfather who died for him, and later on meets him, because MAGIC! In this AU, Peter Pettigrew is known as the one who betrayed James Potter, but he is never captured. Also, Regulus Black is alive, he never goes after the maybe Horcrux. And he has some form of guardianship over Draco, so he is also a bit different and has a budding friendship with Harry. Oh, also Snily.

Remus Lupin has the best friends he could ever ask for. This is just a display of the marauders friendship; Remus forgets his homework one night after a full moon and James takes the fall. ---- I saw this idea somewhere online and decided to write it out.
