Ma chokes out a laugh through the smoke and hits me on the shoulder. She says, "See? An anti-social just like you." - or - In the small town of Saugatuk, Michigan, life is simple and predictable. Neighbors leave their doors unlocked and kids play in the streets. No one suspects that their next door neighbor's strange, reclusive oldest son is sneaking away in the middle of the night to dump his left overs in Lake Erie-- watching them sink slowly down to the bottom before packing up his truck and heading back home. A poem I wrote about The Black Parade. One day, I just had the thought of, "Hm, I wonder what it'd be like if I joined the Black Parade." So I wrote this poem as a way of exploring that, writing it from my perspective. It's kind of like my little daydream. It's definitely a bit rough at some parts, but give me a break, I'm still learning how to write poems and it's 3 in the morning.
