His & Her Series Story No: Two Ratings #2 My prince❤️(12/09/2020) I was six when I first heard the word marriage, Gee mami was scolding Ravi mama and Ram mama for making that stupid boy cry, who kissed my doll in the park. Geetha he kissed our daughter, mami smacked mama with the cushion before she uttered those words, Ravi they are kids and it was an act of innocence, he kissed in her hands. Grow up man, what will you people do when she loves someone and gets married in future? Ram mama grunted in response earning a glare from Tara mami. The small me walked inside the hall, pulled Gee mami's saree, and asked her 'what is marriage and why will my doll go away'? She crouched in front of me and kissed my forehead before explaining 'Nik, when Aara grows up into a princess this tall with long hair, a Prince taller than her will come and take her away to make her, his queen'. I just nodded my head and grinned before replying them, 'Mama don't worry, I will grow up taller than my doll and make her my queen'. Everyone thought it was a kid's chat that day and laughed at me but that was a promise I made to myself. She will be mine no matter what it takes, because she is my light... He was always there to pull me out of danger, the first time he saved me from drowning in the waters when I was 14 and he was 10 with better swimming skills than I was. Somehow Nikky (Only I can call him in that name) gained voice in our family at a very small age, dad and Ram pa always discussed everything before they made a final decision. His decision saved me at the age of 20 again by stopping my mom's marriage planning's. The one person who knows me inside out before even I could utter a word. Somehow, I feel warm and protected in his hugs, which makes me feel emotions that I don't even feel with the man I am engaged to... Join the journey of Nikesh Subramaniya Krishna & Aradhiya Ravichandran... ❤

My Doll aims to address some of the messages that are often being put out to girls my age in today's society!⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ To summarise, it is about the conformity and sacrifices that celebrity, and even just everyday females feel the need to make in order to be their own doll. Rather than simply saying don't have cosmetic surgery or change your hair colour, it's more specifically about the way we put ourselves out to be in order to please people. In this poem, a young girl has a nightmare about being pressured by a 'doll maker' (also society), to help her become almost perfect. She starts to think it's sinful of her to not be this way that everyone is, rather than it being the opposite case. As the ending nears, it's clear that the girl can not conform to fit the doll maker, who she even watches struggling with its own medicine at one point, so she allows her mother to 'wake her up' from her own nightmare. This is a slightly positive ending, but the girl is scarred by her visions. Essentially, I do think there are a lot of great leaders and role models out there for young girls today and even older ones, who embrace themselves and be rid of hatred towards the way they want to be. I'm glad to say I have many role models like this in my life, that let me embrace the way I was made. However, this poem is a sort of reminder, so that we don't forget what we learn and continue to be our own doll, whoever that may be, not in possession of anyone who can edit us or change the way we appear to be❤️
